'Thamarassery Churam'; the ghat road to wayanad

'Thamarassery churam' is one of beautiful ghat roads of India which is located in NH212 that connects Kozhikode in Kerala with Kollegal in Karnataka via Wayanad and Mysore. The length of the ghat section is 13km and it starts from Adivaram, a small village near Thamarassery in Kozhikode district. Adivaram is 45km away from Kozhikode city.  The ghat road ends at Lakkidi where the Wayanad district begins. At the end of ghat section, there is a beautiful view point towards the vallys, foot hills and mountains of Kozhikode district.

The ghat road is heading through forest and the entire travel will be an amazing experience. Most evening and the whole days of monsoon, the place is covered with fog. Monkeys are a commonly seen animal here. Other animals are commonly not seen. As this is the way towards Wayanad, Bandipur, Koorgh and Mysore the place is always crowded with tourists.
